Gandolfini set to wed Deborah Lin
Actor James Gandolfini may have missed out at the Golden Globes - the final series of The Sopranos lost in the best series category to new advertising-themed drama Mad Men - but his girlfriend has said yes to his proposal of marriage. Gandolfini, who played the mob boss in The Sopranos, has become engaged to former model Deborah Lin, his publicist has confirmed. The couple have been seeing each other for about a year.
The actor popped the question while the pair were holidaying in the Bahamas. Gandolfini, 46, was previously married for four years to Marcy Wudarski with whom he has an eight-year-old son, Michael. In 2004 he was briefly engaged to Lora Somoza, a director's assistant, who he met on the set of The Mexican with Brad Pitt and Julia Roberts. But they broke up a year later.
Post-Sopranos, Gandolfini has just finished work on the CGI adaptation of the children's book Where the Wild Things Are and is producing and starring in Hemingway, a biopic of the iconic American writer.
