In Brief: Emma et al go to Davos

Actress Emma Thompson, who campaigns on behalf of refugees and against sex trafficking, is one of the delegates attending the World Economic Forum at Davos. Cellist Yo-Yo Ma and cyclist Lance Armstrong are also there and, of course, no such international gathering would be complete without U2’s Bono... Sir Richard Branson has unveiled his SpaceShipTwo, which he hopes will take fare-paying passengers into space for around £100,000 a ticket. Virgin Galactic already has more than 200 reservations from people including physicist Stephen Hawking, former Dallas star Victoria Principal, designer Philippe Starck and Branson's 89-year-old father, Ted... The chief executive of eBay, Meg Whitman, will step down on March 31 after 10 years in the job. Whitman plans to focus on philanthropy and politics, helping long-time friend and one-time colleague Mitt Romney, in his bid for the White House... Actor George Clooney is reportedly moving out of his house - after he discovered he lived metres away from Britney Spears. Clooney said that he only realised the popstar lived so close when he heard the helicopters over her house on the day she was taken to hospital by police earlier this month... Has David Cameron joined the ranks of the 'lycra louts'? According to the Independent, the Tory leader jumped a red light on his bicycle in Parliament Square, leading to an earful from an angry pedestrian... Actress Lindsay Lohan is set to spend two days 'observing' in the Los Angeles County morgue as part of her community service for drink driving...
