Celebrity bodyguard Anna Loginova killed

A Russian model who started a bodyguard agency to protect Moscow’s newly rich businessmen has been killed during a carjacking in the capital, only weeks after describing how she had fought off a similar attack. Anna Loginova, 29, died from head injuries while trying to stop a young man stealing her silver Porsche Cayenne on Sunday night. After being thrown out of her car by the carjacker, Loginova grabbed the door handle and was pulled several metres before letting go and hitting her head on the road, reported Komsomolskaya Pravda.

Her death after she gave an interview to the Russian Maxim magazine in which she described how she stopped another man stealing the Porsche. "I stepped out of my car and closed the door when I suddenly saw a young man near me," she said. "He grabbed me by the arm... By reflex, I used a jujitsu technique. I twisted his arm and hit him on the face with my elbow. The guy obviously was not expecting such a reaction." When Loginova grabbed her gun, the man jumped in his car and drove away.

Loginova, who worked with Chanel and BMW as a model, was not shy about shedding her clothes in order to publicise her agency. She claimed that female bodyguards offered one distinct advantage over men in Moscow. "Many restaurants now do not allow a guard inside," she said. "They can come in and check everything but then they are asked to wait in the lobby. In contrast, you can take a female bodyguard inside, she will sit down at the table and nobody would guess that she's a weapon herself - and can react appropriately in any dangerous situation."
