In Town Last Night: Vanity Fair celebrates icons
American actress Natassia 'Scarlet' Malthe (pictured left) and British singer Lily Allen (right) were among those who came out to toast 95 years of iconic portraits in Vanity Fair magazine at the National Portrait Gallery on Monday night. A new archive portrait show 'Vanity Fair Portraits: Photographs 1913-2008' celebrates cultural icons from Amelia Earhart to David Hockney and Jesse Owens to Madonna, taken by such renowned photographersas Man Ray, Cecil Beaton and Annie Leibovitz.
Vanity Fair editor Graydon Carter flew in to co-host last night's party with Burberry head designer Christopher Bailey. Others who posed for the cameras included actress Emma Watson and designers Diane von Furstenberg and Patrick Cox.
