In brief: Kidman snapper loses case

Sydney photographer Jamie Fawcett has lost a defamation case against the Australian newspaper the Sun-Herald which reported last year that he wanted to "wreak havoc" on Nicole Kidman's private life; when Kidman appeared at the hearing in November she said she was "absolutely terrified" that she was going to die in a high-speed car chase with Fawcett in 2005... Scottish painter Jack Vettriano has described his latest subject Zara Phillips - who he painted wearing a tight black jumper and vampish heels for the charity Sport Relief - as "exceptionally sexy"... High court judge Mr Justice Bennett has threatened to make public the details of Sir Paul McCartney and Heather Mills' divorce settlement, despite the hearing being held behind closed doors... Jimi Hendrix's drummer Buddy Miles, who played in the Jimmy Hendrix Experience and Band of Gypsy, has died aged 60 in Texas... Former BBC One controller Peter Fincham, who quit in October last year following the scandal surrounding a documentary on the Queen's life, is to join ITV as director of television, replacing incumbent Simon Shaps... Jamie Foxx, who won an Oscar for his portrayal of legendary singer and pianist Ray Charles, is set to play controversial heavyweight boxing champion Mike Tyson in a new biopic...
