In brief: MP Duncan announces partnership

Shadow business secretary Alan Duncan (pictured) is to become the first Conservative MP to enter into a civil partnership after popping the question to partner James Dunseath on Valentine's Day... US actress Rosanna Arquette has won an undisclosed sum from the British tabloid the News of the World after it printed false claims that she had battled drug problems... Oscar-winner Marion Cotillard and her film La Vie en Rose face a potential backlash in the US after it emerged that the French actress once accused America of lying over the September 11 attacks; Cotillard has since claimed there was a misunderstanding... Richard Lewis, a regular on Curb your Enthusiasm, has revealed that he is still fighting demons despite giving up alcohol 14 years ago. "I have been a narcissistic, egomaniacal, womanising, drunken lunatic, suffered through eating disorders, and always had a hard time accepting myself when I was truly a good guy," the comedian writes in the reissue of his 2000 memoir The Other Great Depression...
