Deyn takes Tatler crown off Moss
Kate Moss has lost her crown as Tatler magazine's best-dressed woman to model-of-the-moment Agyness Deyn. The 34-year-old Croydon-born supermodel and Topshop designer had taken the best-dressed crown for the last two years thanks to her influence on women's wardrobes. Now Moss's rival Deyn - winner of British model of the year and who recently replaced Moss in the latest Burberry campaign - has pipped her to the top spot.
Tatler writes of the former fish-and-chip shop worker: “Whether she’s sipping chai at the Russian Tea Rooms in Primrose Hill or kicking back at Henry Holland’s studio, she’s fash-fabulous... Rockin.”
The magazine still credits Moss with influencing fashion, giving her second place in the top 10 and writing: “If she wears it, the rest of the world follows suit." Tatler describes her look as "fashion nirvana" saying of the moment Moss was photographed last year in a gold vintage dress tied up after it had been ripped: “Who else could look so effortlessly cool in a ripped gown at a V&A couture ball after-party?" Samantha Cameron, wife of Tory leader David Cameron, makes the top 10 for being “consistently chic and never flash... She brings some much-needed glamour to the Tory Wives Club.” Others in the list include Russian model Natalia Vodianova (third), actress Keira Knightley (fourth) and Alexa Chung, the TV presenter, who squeezed in at number 10.
