Busted madam claims Spitzer was client
A Manhattan madam whose prostitution ring was smashed by New York City vice cops has claimed that the disgraced former state governor Eliot Spitzer was a client of her call-girl ring. Kristen 'Billie' Davis, who pleaded not guilty at the Manhattan Supreme Court on Tuesday to money laundering and promoting prostitution, alleges that Spitzer regularly patronised her Wicked Models service.
According to the New York Post, Davis looked after Spitzer herself. From 2003 until she became a madam, the 32-year-old Californian "personally interfaced with Spitzer a number of times", a source told the newspaper. However, while Spitzer never denied the allegation that he paid for a call-girl provided by the Emperor Club VIP service - a revelation that led to his resignation earlier this month - a spokeswoman, Anna Cordasco, has categorically denied Davis's claims, saying: "Mr Spitzer was not ever a client of Ms Davis."
Prosecutors say Davis earned around $2m last year through her online call-girl service, which charged as much as $1,000 an hour for prostitutes through four websites. Her client list is rumoured to have some 10,000 names on it - including high-profile names from sport and entertainment, yet to be disclosed.
