In brief: Alamo star Richard Widmark dies

Richard Widmark (pictured), the Hollywood actor who played the psychopath Tommy Udo in the 1947 film noir Kiss of Death and who starred alongside John Wayne in The Alamo, has died aged 93... Peter Phillips, son of the Princess Royal and 11th in line to the throne, will relinquish his birthright when he marries Autumn Kelly, a baptised Catholic, at St George's Chapel in Windsor Castle in May... Leona Lewis, the TV talent show winner who went on to to have a number one hit with her single Bleeding Love, is poised to become the first British woman to top the US pop chart for more than 20 years... Heston Blumenthal, the Michelin-starred chef famous for his snail porridge and duck fat chips, is to try to save Little Chef, by running one of the chain's roadside restaurants for a Channel 4 series...
