Moss bags £10,000 from British Airways

British Airways may be happy to see the back of Naomi Campbell - they banned her for life last week after she allegedly spat at a police officer in a row over a missing bag at Heathrow’s Terminal Five - but it seems they were not so keen to lose the business of fellow supermodel Kate Moss. According to reports today, the airline quickly forked out £10,000 in compensation when her suitcases went missing.

Like thousands of other passengers who have endured the chaos at BA's new terminal, Moss lost her luggage after flying to Los Angeles. The model was travelling with up to 10 cases, which contained a new range of Topshop clothing she was taking to the US for a photo shoot.

While most of the owners of the 28,000 bags misplaced by BA at Terminal Five can expect to wait weeks or even months before they receive a payout, BA chief executive Willie Walsh reportedly fast-tracked Moss's compensation. Even better, all her bags are now believed to have been located by the airline.

Moss experienced a similar problem on a Virgin flight to Mexico last year. Then, she simply called the airline's owner Sir Richard Branson on his mobile, and the bags were delivered within 24 hours.
