In Town Last Night: Paul Simonon rocks art world
Another day and yet another musician turns their hand to fine art. Last night it was Paul Simonon, ex-bassist of The Clash (pictured centre), who launched his new exhibition of paintings at Thomas Williams Gallery, Bond Street. As well as art-world regulars, the event drew a crowd of dedicated rocksters young and old, from Bryan Ferry (right) and Marie Helvin to Dazed & Confused founder and Kate Moss's ex Jefferson Hack, Agent Provocateur founder Serena Rees (left) and sacked Orange-prize juror Lily Allen, sporting newly blonde locks.
