Wills makes mystery PR dash to Harry’s side
The controversy surrounding Prince William's recent helicopter adventures - he borrowed a Chinook to fly to a stag night and visit his girlfriend Kate Middleton, enraging the RAF boss Air Chief Marshall Sir Glenn Torphy - have been replaced to today with another, more positive royal yarn - a visit paid by the heir to the throne and his brother Harry to a military hospital for soldiers injured in Iraq and Afghanistan.
However, some cynical commentators have suggested that the Prince’s trip to the Defence Rehabilitation Centre at Headley Court, near Espom, Surrey, smells a little fishy. "No one doubts the sincerity of their visit, but the timing seems too good to be true," remarks a seasoned royal watcher. "The reports say he was "accompanying" his brother Harry. That's odd. He's the heir to the throne. Surely it should be the other way around. It looks like William's advisors took the chance to piggy-back on the back of the visit, but maybe it was all planned months in advance. You never know."
Few, however, could doubt that the visit was not a moving experience for the Princes, especially Harry, who was reunited with Mark Ormrod, a marine who he'd trained before going to Afghanistan and who had lost both his legs and his left arm.
