In brief: Eastwood film tops Cannes festival line-up

Clint Eastwood's latest directorial outing, a 1920s thriller called Changeling starring Angelina Jolie (pictured), John Malkovich and Amy Ryan, is to premiere at the 61st Cannes Film Festival, whose line-up was announced today. Other films in competition for the Palme d'Or will be Wim Wenders' The Palermo Shooting and Steven Soderbergh's Che Guevara biopic The Argentine... Bruce Oldfield, Diana's favourite courtier and designer to actresses such as Catherine Zeta-Jones and Sienna Miller, has created new uniforms for the hamburger chain McDonald's...Prince William is to be made a Royal Knight of the Garter, making him the 1,000th Knight of the Garter in the 660th anniversary of Britain's oldest order of chivalry... Astrophysicist Stephen Hawking has given a lecture in honor of NASA's 50th anniversary, on the cosmic topic of whether there is intelligent life elsewhere... Beyonce and Jay-Z's wedding has been confirmed, after a marriage licence was filed with authorities in New York...
