Uma Thurman faces stalker in court
Beauteous actress Uma Thurman braved the Manhattan Supreme Court in New York on Thursday to give evidence in a case she has brought against a male fan who spent three years stalking her. Earlier in the week, the court heard how Jack Jordan, 37, had called Thurman's mother, Nena, at her home in Woodstock, New York, and creepily told her he had met her daughter in an earlier life. He said he believed the actress, the muse of Quentin Tarantino, starring in Pulp Fiction and Kill Bill, would only be happy if they were together, and that his hands should be on her body "at all times". He also told Thurman's parents that he would kill himself unless he was able to be with her.
His behaviour had a predictable effect on the 38-year-old actress. In a voice quavering with emotion she told the court she was "completely freaked out" and "felt a stone drop in her stomach" when she realised that Jordan had been in contact with her family.
Jordan is also believed to have presented himself outside the actress's home in New York between early 2005 and shortly before his arrest in October last year, as well as trying to get into her trailer during the filming of My Super Ex-Girlfriend. As a result of this, Thurman, who is currently dating multi-millionaire financier boyfriend Arpad Busson, installed surveillance cameras around the house and hired a private detective to look into Morgan.
