A suitcase containing some 3,500 undeveloped photographs of the Spanish Civil War shot by legendary war photographer Robert Capa (pictured) has reappeared in Mexico after being lost for 70 years... Author JK Rowling today won a lawsuit in the Court of Appeal which she brought against a picture agency after it allowed Express Newspapers to publish a photo of her son David when he was 18 months old. She will now be able to launch a test case to prevent photos being taken of peoples' children without parental permission.... Letters written by Philip Larkin to the portrait photographer Fay Godwin have revealed the poet to be extremely self-critical of his appearance; Larkin described Godwin's portraits of him as looking like "the late Stan Laurel", "CS Lewis on a drugs charge", or "an egg sculpted in lard, with goggles on"... Jack Jordan, the former mental patient accused of stalking actress Uma Thurman, has been convicted by a New York jury... Former death row inmate Kenny Richey is to star in a short film by Irvine Welsh, which focuses on the Scot's much-publicised struggle to adapt to life after his release from an Ohio prison in January this year... Former South African president Nelson Mandela is to make a rare public appearance in London next month for a Live Aid-style concert in London's Hyde Park to mark his 90th birthday; among those joining him for the June 27 celebration will be Gordon Brown, Bill Clinton and Oprah Winfrey while performers will include Queen, Dame Shirley Bassey and the Sugababes...
