England rue tough group draw

England has received a tough draw for the group stage of the next rugby union World Cup in New Zealand in 2011. "The contemptuous laughter that blasted forth from manager Martin Johnson, when asked if he was delighted with a draw that 'couldn't have gone better for him', told you all you need to know about how he really felt about facing Argentina and Scotland in three years' time," writes Mick Cleary in the Daily Telegraph. "Wales have been saddled with the toughest draw, grouped alongside defending champions South Africa, as well as Fiji and, in all probability, Samoa. England may have avoided any of the big three southern hemisphere countries, but if they had been drawn with any of those countries they might have fancied a worst-case scenario of finishing runners-up."
