Robinho attacks City attitude

Manchester City's Brazilian striker Robinho has criticised his teammates in the wake of Sunday's disappointing home defeat by Manchester United, berating them for having a small club mentality. "The £34m striker was a huge disappointment as City succumbed 1-0 to United at Eastlands, effectively marked out of the game by Rafael da Silva," reports the Daily Mail. "But the former Real Madrid star has still given an expansive TV interview in which he suggested City need to change their mental approach to games if they are to make progress up the Barclays Premier League table. Robinho said: 'They have excellent players here at Manchester City, but what they lack is the mentality of champions. At Real Madrid, I learned a will to win. Here they have a good team, but they’re content with just finishing fifth or sixth. For me you can only be content when you're champions.'"
