Harris case could bankrupt Bradford

Leeds Rhinos are suing arch rivals Bradford Bulls for £3.2m over the protracted Iestyn Harris affair. Bradford admit they will be declared bankrupt if they lose the High Court case with the dispute having now dragged on for almost four years. A High Court judge has already agreed that Leeds had first option to re-sign Harris on his return to Super League from Cardiff RU in 2004. The judge also ruled that Bradford had induced Harris to break his contract with Leeds, who are claiming £3.2m in lieu of a transfer fee as well as lost merchandise potential and ticket sales.
