Chelsea still confident of Robinho deal

Chelsea remain hopeful that they can secure the services of Real Madrid's attacking midfielder Robinho. Despite Real's insistence yesterday that the Brazilian would not be going anywhere this summer, the west Londoners' chief exec Peter Kenyon is still targeting the 24-year-old. The Brazil international, 24, has been Chelsea manager Luiz Felipe Scolari's top transfer priority this summer but Real Madrid have already turned down a £19.75m bid and insist the player is happy to stay at the Bernabeu. However, his agent says otherwise and his working to get the deal through. Chelsea are reportedly prepared to pay up to £25m for the playmaker but Real will not do business for less than £35m.
