Keane lures Cisse to Wearside

Sunderland boss Roy Keane has pulled off another coup, perusading Djibril Cisse to swap the warm-weather attractions of Marseille for the Wearside. The former Liverpool striker is set to move for a fee of around £6m, although the first part of the agreement consista of a season long loan. Cisse is keen to return to England as his family live in Cheshire and he has purchased the title Lord of the Manor of Frodsham. He had fallen out of favour at Marseille and had also lost his place in the French national side. (Mirror: 21/08/08)
