Liverpool look at PSG’s David Ngog

Liverpool are to move for Paris St-Germain's teenage striker David Ngog to head off any striker shortage caused by the sale of Peter Crouch and the lack of other transfer activity. The 19-year-old, who is a cousin of the former Newcastle and Rangers defender Jean Alain Boumsong, would cost Rafa Benitez £1.5m and has refused to sign a new contract with PSG. Ngog, rated as one of the most promising young strikers in French football, would be Rafa Benitez's fourth signing of the summer, after the acquisitions so far of Philipp Degen, Andrea Dossena and Diego Cavalieri, as he re-shapes his squad for the coming season.
