Real get shirty over Robinho tactics

Relations between Chelsea and Real Madrid have reached a new low after the Spanish club described the Blues as deplorable for selling No 7 shirts with Robinho's name on them before he has joined the club. But the player himself once again demanded a move at a press conference at which he announced he wanted to play in London. Chelsea chief exective Peter Kenyon headed to Madrid again to try and salvage the £28m deal before tonight's deadline. However, Ramon Calderon says no players will be leaving the club and expressed his outrage at Chelsea's tactics, which have included selling Robinho shirts. (Mail: 01/09/08)
