Robbie Keane to rejoin Spurs from Liverpool

4.30pm: Liverpool have confirmed that they have accepted a bid for striker Robbie Keane and former Spurs player is to rejoin his old club.

Keane did not report for training at Liverpool this morning and instead braved the snow and ice to travel down from Liverpool to London to meet with Spurs officials and took a medical this afternoon. The fee has not been revealed and is complicated by the fact that Liverpool still owe them money for the oroginal transfer this summer which saw Keane leave White Hart Lane for Anfield.

After securing Keane, Harry Redknapp was expected to move for Inter Milan's Portuguese winger Ricardo Quaresma, with either Jermaine Jenas or David Bentley heading in the opposite direction, but they have dropped out of the race.

Chelsea on the other hand expressed late interest in the winger, but had not agreed a deal as 5pm approached - although a loan deal looked to have been arranged, furthermore the weather-related extension means that if both sides give written agreement that they are interested in a transfer they will be given more time.
