Shevchenko deal in doubt

Andriy Shevchenko's return to AC Milan has hit the buffers - after Chelsea reportedly demanded the Italians buy him at the end of the season for £16m. The plan had been for the Ukrainian to head for Italy for a season-long loan but Milan were only prepared deal if they could choose whether or not to pay for the 31-year-old as they wanted to see if the player could regain the form that made him such a favourite at the club.
