Spurs complete double signing

Spurs have signed Croatian defender Vedran Corluka from Manchester City. The 22-year-old had been with City for just one season and made 41 appearances for the club, but he handed in a transfer request after interest from Spurs. He will link up with fellow countryman Luka Modric at White Hart Lane. City have a replacement already lined up after Pablo Zabaleta signed a five-year deal, the Argentinian defender joins City from Espanyol. Corluka joins Spartak Moscow forward Roman Pavlyuchenko who has also completed his switch to Spurs. (Guardian: 01/09/08)
