Spurs slash Berbatov price for Euro clubs
Spurs are prepared to reduce the £30m price tag on wantaway striker Dimitar Berbatov if a European club comes after him. Manchester United have been told they must pay top dollar for the Bulgarian international, but Tottenham would accept offers of £25m from either Barcelona or AC Milan, who are also rumoured to be interested. A bitter war of words has erupted between Spurs and United over the striker's destiny and the London club do not want to see him head north. Barcelona will only bid for Berbatov if they can offload Samuel Eto'o, while AC's interest in Berbatov will be pricked if they fail to land the Cameroonian striker from Barca. (Sun: 24/07/08)
