Hillary’s plans will kill us all

Dick Morris, the man who served Bill Clinton as his most trusted advisor, has attacked Hillary Clinton’s latest statements on the nuclear ambitions of Iran:

Speaking at last week’s Philadelphia debate Clinton said that Israel would not be the only country protected by America against Iranian nuclear attacks. Saudi Arabia, the UAE and Kuwait would have the full weight of the United States nuclear arsenal behind them if attacked. No American president has ever "made such a sweeping commitment to the region", says Morris.

Her rival Barack Obama gave a much more reasonable answer, saying America should simply continue to defend Israel in the region.

Clinton said: "We should be looking to create an umbrella of deterrence that goes much further than just Israel. Of course I would make it clear to the Iranians that an attack on Israel would incur massive retaliation from the United States. But I would do the same with other countries in the region."

Morris says that Clinton’s pledge is not based on benevolence but avarice, as all three countries mentioned by her are generous benefactors to Bill Clinton’s library. Dubai, situated in the UAE, has donated nearly $15m in the last seven years. On top of that none of the countries mentioned by her are democracies, all boycott Israel and all have poor records on human rights.

Iran will develop nuclear weapons, capable of hitting Europe and America, and Clinton is prepared to "mortgage American cities" in order to protect her family’s business interests. She is willing to risk the lives of ordinary American people for the sake of some of the most repressive regimes in the middle east. "And she thinks we want her answering those 3am phone calls?"
