A young, fun-loving woman is happy in her single life until she starts seeing a man from her work. Mike Leigh is one of Britain's most successful filmmakers. His films Secrets & Lies (1996), Topsy-Turvy (1999) and Vera Drake (2004) were all Oscar nominated, the latter winning a BAFTA for achievement in Direction. Leigh is the chairman of the London Film School, an associate member of the RADA drama school and was made an OBE in 1993.
