An institutionalized convict twelve years into a life sentence decides to break out. Rupert Wyatt is the co-founder of Picture Farm, the award winning London & New York based production collective. He studied film in Paris and started writing for producers Claudie Ossard and Jean-Pierre Ramsay. Between 2000 and 2005 he worked in London and Liverpool directing episodic television. The Escapist is his first feature.
