Chris Waitt, a young man unsuccessful in love, goes back to his former partners to find out what went wrong. Chris Waitt directed the short films How To Cope With Rejection (2005) and Dupe (2005), the latter winning the BAFTA Scotland Award for Best Short Film, 2005. He also wrote and directed a number of episodes of the TV comedy series Fur TV (2008). A Complete History Of My Sexual Failures is Waitt's first feature.
