A woman returns from fifteen years in prison and attempts to reconcile with her friends and family.
Philippe Claudel is the Professor of Literature at the University of Lyon, and winner of the Prix Renaudot for his debut novel Grey Souls. He has worked as a writer, adapting novels and writing original material for both TV and film. I've Loved You So Long is his directorial debut. The film won the Prize of the Ecumenical Jury at the Berlin International Film Festival, 2008.
