Jon Avnet is a successful TV director and executive producer. He won a Primetime Emmy for his work on both The Burning Bed (1984) and The Starter Wife (2007). As a feature director his credits include Fried Green Tomatoes (1991), The War (1994), Up Close & Personal (1996), Red Corner (1997) and 88 Minutes (2007).
