Nicky Valsamakis graduated from Kingston University with a BA Hons in Illustration and Animation. The film He 'e Nalu (the Polynesian term for wave-riding) was inspired by the notion of being formless, like water. The ability to adapt to the ever changing is depicted by the art of surfing; no one wave is the same and therefore expression must be free.
