Ang Lee was born in Taiwan. He took a Masters Degree in Film Production at New York University. His most successful films include Sense And Sensibility (1995), The Ice Storm (1997) and the multi-award winning Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon (2000). Lee won the Oscar for Best Director in 2006 for Brokeback Mountain (2005).
